Join us at the Museum of Contemporary Art, La Jolla, for a powerful lecture by Alejandra Hinojosa, ASLA on Decarbonizing the Design Process. Alejandra will present insights on:

  • Decarbonizing Specifications

The lecture will also include key considerations, real-world applications, and essential resources to integrate carbon budgeting into the design process. Alejandra will provide recommendations for material specification using the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) 2014 framework.

About Alejandra Hinojosa: She brings years of expertise advancing climate-positive design and material transparency. At LPA Design Studios, she leads sustainability initiatives that integrate decarbonization strategies across diverse project types. As Co-Chair of ASLA’s National Climate Action Committee, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the profession’s response to climate change, helping author national guidelines that give landscape architects practical tools to reduce carbon and build resilience.
