At SDLA Illuminates the Night, we transformed the lower level of the San Diego Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park into an immersive nighttime experience. In collaboration with leading landscape lighting manufacturers, we brought this stunning garden to life after dark—demonstrating how thoughtful lighting can elevate every element of a space. With over 200 landscape architects, lighting designers, architects, contractors, distributors, and industry partners in attendance, the evening offered a unique opportunity to experience how light shapes the environment—highlighting buildings, bridges, pathways, vegetation, and even koi ponds.
