Civita Park in Mission Valley, designed by Schmidt Design Group, was honored by the Urban Land Institute San Diego-Tijuana District Council at the group’s annual “Healthy Places” awards event.

The park, developed by Sudberry Properties, won the Healthy Public Open Space award.

The four award categories honored by ULI “recognized catalytic land use practice that supports active lifestyles, alternate mobility, equitable access across demographics, access to local and healthy food and innovative technologies,” according to the industry group.

The Chula Vista Bayfront Master Plan, developed by Pacific, won the award for healthy public policy.

Zona Centro in Tijuana was honored in the “Emerging Healthy Place” category. Bustamente Real Estate, The Cosmopolitan Group, LWP, Centro Ventures, and Grupo CCBC contributed to the project.
